      Valentine's Day Activites To Do in CincinnatiIt’s almost February in Cincinnati which means the air is filled with cold temperatures but more importantly filled with love. Most people think to stay in during the chillier seasons, but I promise there are lots of activities that will warm your soul this February. Of course, mid-February is a time to celebrate Valentine’s Day with your significant other but there are also some lovely activities to do with your friends and loved ones in Cincinnati as well.

      Here is a heart-y list of activities to do just in time for Valentine’s or Galentine’s Day: 

      Drinks (My Favorite):

      Graeter’s Black Raspberry Chocolate Chip Milk Stout Release – Starting on Friday, February 1st at 8:00am at Braxton Brewing, come enjoy the new black raspberry chocolate chip milk stout flavor release. The brew will be tapped and released in cans and available on draft as well.

      Cincy Winter BeerFest -  On February 1st & 2nd at the Duke Energy Convention Center, Breweries and Beer enthusiasts from across the region will gather on two February evenings for a sampling of fresh craft beers of all styles, and tastes and a whole lot of  fun! All while raising funds for the Big Joe Duskin Music Foundation, a 501-C-3 tax exempt organization dedicated to helping music programs in underfunded elementary and junior high schools.

      Modo Yoga at Rhinegeist Brewery – That’s right beer and yoga. Broga. Enjoy a yoga class led by an amazing Modo teacher. The class is free (score) but donations are accepted for their yoga program CityLink Center. Bring your own yoga mat, water and a date if you want!

      Galentine’s Day: Beer & Brunch – “Galentine's day is only the best day of the year. Every February my lady friends and I leave our husbands and our boyfriends at home and we just come and kick it, breakfast-style." We couldn't have said it better ourselves! Get your brunch on at our Galentine's Day Beers and Brunch event in the Loft at Braxton Brewing on February 10th starting at 11:00am!

      Braxton Beer Lovers Dinner – At Braxton Brewing on February 13th at 6:30pm there will be a 5 course dinner complete with beer pairing for each dish to kick off Valentine’s Day. What better way to show your love than with food and drink?

      Date Night:

      Romeo And Juliet – This is the perfect show for lovebirds all over Cincinnati. Prokofiev's Romeo and Juliet score paints musical pictures of star-crossed lovers and their journey from naive passion to tragic end.  The concert will take place at Music Hall in the Springer Auditorium on February 1st at 11:00am and February 2nd at 8:00pm.

      The Musical Of Musicals (The Musical) - In this hilarious satire of musical theater, one story becomes five delightful musicals, each written in the distinctive style of a different master of the form, from Rodgers and Hammerstein to Stephen Sondheim. This comic valentine to musical theater was the longest running show in the York Theatre Company's 35-year history before moving to Off-Broadway.

      The Sleeping Beauty - Beautiful sets and costumes, dazzling dance, and a glorious score by Tchaikovsky will awaken your senses and transport you to a magical place where a beautiful sleeping princess is awakened by a kiss and good triumphs over evil. Children and adults alike will delight in this beloved full-length fairy-tale classic at Music Hall – Springer Auditorium.

      CPI New Voices LovefestOn February 12th at the Jarson-Kaplan Theater at 7:30pm, Cincinnati Playwrights Initiative (CPI) and the American Heart Association (AHA) are partnering to present a mixed assortment of short but 'hearty' plays with love themes of various flavors. The staged readings are part of the AHA 'Go Red for Women' campaign. A portion of the ticket sales will go to AHA.

      The Valentine’s Love Jam – At the US Bank Arena on February 14th at 8:00pm, Cincinnati R&B fans can rejoice as your Valentine's Day plans are covered as The Valentine's Love Jam will play featuring Tyrese, Avant, Dru Hill, 112, and Next. 

      Lovely Activities:

      Fiona’s Playlist – There is nothing sweeter than a playlist completed dedicated to our Cincinnati love bug, Fiona. The Pops Orchestra will be preforming the baby hippos favorite songs including Carnival of the Animals to music from A Bug's Life and Harry Potter (Hedwig’s Theme, of course!). Fiona would feel right at home in this musical menagerie—your family will, too! Experience instrument demonstrations, crafts and more at the pre-concert Family Fun Zone. Accessibility for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing will be interpreted by the American Sign Language. Doors open at 9:30am on February 2nd at the Springer Auditorium!

      Preseason home game | FC Cincinnati vs Malmo FF - #RiseTogether with Cincinnati’s professional soccer team at Nippert Stadium at 7:00pm on Thursday February 7th.

      Fabulous Foliage at Krohn ConservatoryOn February 8th, come see all the colors and textures that our Fabulous Foliage show has to offer! Mixed with the traditional blossoming bulbs of tulips, hyacinths, and daffodils, the 2019 Spring Show will display thousands of brightly colored foliage plants! Not only do these vibrant plants make a statement on their own, but they also are planted in unique forms structures such as living walls, moss graffiti, and topiaries. SHOW HOURS: Tuesday through Sunday (closed Mondays) 10:00am – 5:00pm ADMISSION FEES: Adults $4.00 Youth (5-17) $2.00 Child (4 and under) Free.

      Valentine’s Dinner at the Cincinnati Zoo –  Can you feel the love in the air? Spend your Valentine’s Day (February 9th, 10th, and 14th at 6:30pm) at the Cincinnati Zoo! Where else can you experience close up animal encounters and enjoy a romantic meal with a complimentary champagne toast while cozied up with your special someone? It’s sure to warm you and your sweetheart up this Valentine’s Day! Experience zoo-nique opportunities during the love-filled evening as valentines will learn about the Wild Side of Love. Guests must be 21 and older. There will be a cash bar available, but valentines can also add on a Wine & Dine option for only $20 to receive a flight of wines (red, white, and dessert) paired with dinner.

      Valentine’s Day Dinner and Carousal Ride – On February 14th at Moerlein Lager House at 11:00am, celebrate Valentine's Day weekend with Moerlein Lager House and get a complimentary carousel ride. Each guest who enjoys lunch or dinner at Moerlein Lager House February 14-16 will receive a voucher for a free carousel ride at Carol Ann's Carousel in Smale Riverfront Park. 

      Free Findlay Market Tours 2019 - On the second and fourth Saturday in February at Findlay Market, they have free 30 minute tours. If you would like to take this tour, meet at the Market Center located at the Center of the main market house across from Taste of Belgium. The tour is open to the first 20 people to sign up so make sure to register in advance.

      Cold Nights & Warm Spirits – On February 22nd at 6:30 in Ault Park Pavilion, join your friends and neighbors for a great evening of great whiskey, music, and fun to support Ault Park. There will be a make your own cocktail bar!

      Ice Rink: If you are already celebrating Valentine’s Day with your loved one or with friends, you might as well add in a cheesy but cute day of ice skating at Fountain Square. The rink is open the entire month of February. They are open Friday through Sunday from 12:00pm-9:00pm and Monday through Thursday from 12:00pm -5:00pm.

      Penguin Days – I honestly can’t think of anything cuter than penguins to celebrate love. Every weekend at the Cincinnati Zoo, guests can watch penguins, polar bears and even elephants enjoy the winter weather in their own way during a variety of animal enrichment activities. 

      Brunch at Nicholson’sEvery Saturday and Sunday from 10:00am – 3:00pm at Nicholson’s enjoy a Valentine’s Day brunch.

      Brunch at Via ViteEvery Saturday and Sunday at 10:00am at Via Vite there will be a brunch featuring a Tuscan style brunch menu for all ages.
