      How to Keep Your Summer Hot in Cincinnati

      Before we know it, nature’s bounty will be overflowing with fall leaves and pumpkin spice. For now, though, it is time to enjoy the last days of summer. Enjoy the sun on your skin (with sunscreen of course), a breeze in your hair, and be sure to spend some time sipping something cool by a pool.

      Score! Soak up some sun while watching the Reds or FC Cincinnati face off against top opponents. There is no shortage of Cincinnati pride when it comes to these teams. Whether you’re a die hard fan of these sports or just enjoy the fun atmosphere of a sporting event, there really is something for everyone at these games. Plus, don’t forget about Friday night fireworks at Great American Ballpark!

      If there is one thing Cincinnati is good at, it is brewing good beer. Catch one of Cincinnati’s brewery tours to experience all the fine beer the city has to offer, many including stops at places like Christian Moerelein and Rhinegeist. Plus, most breweries in Cincinnati are family friendly!

      Take in a gorgeous sunset view of the skyline by setting sail for the evening on a BB Riverboats cruise. Choose from wine and whiskey tastings to chef’s special dinner cruises! After your cruise, take a nighttime stroll down at Smale Riverfront Park. Be sure to chill on a swing and appreciate how pretty the city is at night.

      Family Friendly

      Cincinnati and Newport, KY are home to two of the coolest zoo’s and aquarium’s in the nation. The Cincinnati Zoo holds almost two thousand animals of all shapes and sizes, and contains many attractions for the whole family to enjoy. Take a train ride through the savannah, catch a 4D movie about the depths of the ocean, and don’t miss the opportunity to feed the zoo’s hungry giraffes and see their enormous tongues.

      Once you’ve had had your fill of land animals, head over to the Newport Aquarium and experience life underwater for the day! Pet sharks, stingrays, urchins, and of course sea cucumbers throughout the aquarium in the many touch habitats. Watch penguins swim around and even hang out underneath the stingray encounter. At the end of the journey, see if you can survive the Shark Bridge. Walk on the rope and netting over open, shark infested waters!

      Don’t forget to catch some rides, thrilling or kid-friendly, at Coney Island, and catch some rays at the Sunlite pool. Or, start some friendly family competition playing a round of mini-golf at the Fairfield Fun Center, then pick up a treat from the adventurous Jungle Jim’s market right down the street.

      After spending a day soaking up the sun and doing something awesome, treat yourself to some world famous Greater's ice cream. What says summer more than ice cream?
